The standard system, which achieves 280 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque, pairs a 3.3-liter turbocharged six-cylinder gas engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission and the Mazda brand’s rear-biased i-Activ AWD®. The upgraded powertrain features the same components, but the engine is specially tuned to output 340 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque.
