3 New SUVs You’ll Like If You Loved the MAZDA CX-9

The Mazda CX-9 was a beloved Mazda SUV for many years, although it has been discontinued to pave the way for new models. But don’t worry—there are still plenty of comparable models in the lineup. The Autobarn Mazda of Evanston is outlining the top three SUVs to consider if you loved the Mazda CX-9.
MAZDA CX-90
The Mazda CX-90 was designed as a replacement to the Mazda CX-9, so it has many of the same aspects that made the discontinued model so popular. The Mazda CX-90 is slightly larger, although it’s also a midsize three-row SUV. It offers seating for seven or eight, depending on the configuration you choose. You can also fold the rear seats down, leaving you room for up to 75.2 cubic feet of cargo.
MAZDA CX-90 PHEV
While all Mazda SUVs are efficient, the Mazda CX-90 PHEV takes it up a notch. It comes equipped with a plug-in hybrid powertrain, so you can drive up to 27 miles with electric power alone. It also boasts a 500-mile total driving range. The three-row SUV is almost the exact same size as the Mazda CX-90, although it comes standard with seven-passenger seating.
MAZDA CX-70
Another great alternative for fans of the Mazda CX-9 is the Mazda CX-70. It’s also a spacious midsize SUV, although it features a two-row cabin with five-passenger seating. This is a great option for drivers who do a lot of traveling or hauling, because it includes a generous 39.6 cubic-foot cargo area behind the rear row. With the rear seats down, it can also carry up to 75.2 cubic feet of cargo.
